Kirisha Forest Deity

The Kirisha create the giant forests of Eclipse in the Northern Kingdoms, these gods represent fertility and abundance—there are both male and female Kirisha, each with their own vast territory. Relations between neighboring Kirisha are friendly and mutually beneficial, they share in resources and mates to keep their lands healthy. Kirisha produce thousands of offspring called Dwindus. The dwindus are sterile and childlike, only a small percentage will mature into Domnu (Forest guardians). The Domnu can reproduce, however, domnu offspring are either satyrs or nymphs that have their own reproductive cycles. When the resident Kirisha nears the end of its life, a domnu is chosen to ascend and become a Kirisha, thus restarting the cycle. The old Kirisha dissolves into the land and gives a final burst of vitality to the forest, keeping it healthy and nourished. Kirisha are essentially immortal, but choose to die after several millennia to keep the cycle of their forests healthy.
